Getting Out My Rake

Gone are the days when I sunbathed in ease Drank lemonade, and did what I pleased Betrayed by the Autumn kissed sycamore trees Now ...I'm up to my shoulders in red and gold leaves!

Carrie, this is great. I miss those days too, although I must confess to loving raking leaves! Maybe it's because I still jump in the pile at the end :-) We have to find the joy somewhere! Thanks for sharing this! love.t

Love the humor as well as the carefree wind flowing feel of this read. It's quite visual and you had me stopping to see you sunbathing. It took a while to get past that, sorry I'm a guy LOL Excellent rhyme and write. Michael
