Getting On With Life
Getting on with life ain’t so easy,
Because I am missing a friend,
I pass the days, filled with emotion,
Knowing a life had to end.
Getting on with life ain’t so easy,
Looking for an answer ‘cause I’m down,
Hoping to God, there really is a God,
To guide me enough to understand.
Flowers ain’t enough to fight the tears,
I’m shedding, for spending all those years,
Where I’m to trade a smile, for a memory,
Getting on with life ain’t so easy, for me.
Getting on with life ain’t so easy,
Every moment that I live now I cry,
I may never show, what no one can see,
A broken heart lives on the inside.
Flowers ain’t enough to fight the tears,
I’m shedding, for spending all those years,
Where I’m to trade a smile, for a memory,
Getting on with life ain’t so easy, for me.
