Georgia On My Mind

A special election – the red and the blue But people in Georgia knew just what to do. They got out and voted, each making a choice As half of America gets to rejoice. Our country’s been split; it’s an even divide. Who knows if the hatred will ever subside? We have to be patient and hope against hope That those newly elected will help us to cope. When Georgia has counted its votes, I’ll relax Just a bit, for I’m sure there’ll be tweeting attacks But at least at the top there will be a good chance That some progress will hopefully start to advance.

You had me ready for Ray Charles... But I'll settle for your nice lines on the fate of our troubled land. I think that things will get better domestically; internationally, I'm shaking in my boots, truth be told. What Russia and China, and their proxies, are doing is very scary. And we seem to just barely react... ~ Fingers crossed

Thought you might like to know the Japanese have noted a dramatic fall in mental capabilities as infants and children learn communication skills by reading lips and facial expressions; face masked deprived of that, many children decide it is too difficult and simply give up, so Japanese researchers encourage all baby tenders and teachers to wear facial shields instead of face masks when communicating with children! Have a peach of day, Ilene! Aloha! Rico
