Gentle Rain

GENTLE RAIN I long to hear the gentle rain as it drizzles down the window pane The sun is under cloud today the birds are hiding too. the trees are swaying in the breeze I thank you Lord on my knees. I gaze at all the clouds above I watch them passing by, The rain continues into night There’s no reprieve in sight. The lightning strikes are closer now It illuminates the night I feel a shiver up my spine It causes such a fright. I know that when the morn does come The rain will all be gone. There’s hope again when we at last see the morning sun. Written by Kathryn Neff Perry ©copyright 2008 All rights reserved.

This may sound cliche, but this reminded me: the night is darkest, just before the dawn.
