Gentle Eyes
There is longing through her tears, they are a curious brew,
Tears for such sweet memory she recalls so many sad ones too.
The dear touching things that have happened through her life.
And times when stabbing pain entered caused by a vicious knife.
Not sure what hurts the most, hearing the lies that were told.
Or knowing that her so called friends believed them as they unfold.
She welcomes the storm, its eminent display, a resplendent show.
She stands in the rain, her tears won’t be seen, no one will know.
Surely this anguish will pass this day as her breath is nearly gone.
Her gentle eyes pleading, but I’m useless to help her carry on.
As she lays on the grass, I watch her as rain is pelting the ground.
Her crying can’t be heard for the storm’s tumultuous sound.
Struggling for each breath now I beckon her to leave her locus.
To dwell on the serenity of all that encompass a positive focus.
There is longing through her tears, I see they are a curious brew.
Melancholy thoughts mixed with pain, there’s a sweet smile too.
