Gems of Fall
Around a regal emerald pond,
a crystal necklace lies.
As if by autumn’s magic wand,
just falling from the skies-
gold leaves this jewelry plies.
Brisk dawning of quartz mist,
blooms skies of sapphire blue.
Landscapes glazed by morning’s kiss,
brush precious still-life views;
diamonds formed in morning dew.
Black velvet drapes a silver orb,
worn royally, above the trees.
A harvest stone the eyes absorb,
then weaken even stubborn knees;
fall riches find a soul at ease
