Gathering Wool

I fold your sweaters caressing them, one by one as if they were you . . . tears - with my memories - flow as I keep gathering wool for the Old or New Poem 10 Line Max Poetry Contest of Rick Parise

Andrea, I thought this was great! I also thought mine was clever and unique but it seems several people had similar ideas and it just wound up being mundane.

Wow. So few words So much meaning. I love how you created a feeling by showing an action, not telling the reader. Brilliant. I get it! Toni O.

I'm not even going to ask how you came up with this...No Indeed....I think however it's because your name is Andrea...can't think of another reason unless it's Dietrich!

Wow, Andrea! You have taken a very difficult, narrow subject and created a vision that nearly every human has or will experience. Your sweet delicate flow of sadness hit me right in my gut. Your verse gives undeniable beauty to loss. Your love of this person just pours out, while created in this tight form. I'm truly choked up...jill

This made me think of dad ... mum wanted to keep one of his jumpers but it would never have got worn so a friend crocheted the wool from it for a blanket for her which is perfect:-) hugs Jan xx
