Gather Ye Rosebuds

Before the hot torch of the heavens fades, And short shadows lengthen into long shades, Quick set all your seeds lest the fast Fall frost, Will bite at your bones ‘til your fruits are tossed. Eric - this was a tough contest to judge, as there were SO many great entries, but I nearly placed this alone at the top, as it has flow, imagery, and maturity of phrasing that, for me, sets it slightly above the rest. Exceptional work, and a delight to read. - GB
