Your Hobby Poetry Contest

Gardening is my all-time favorite hobby. Early morning I get into my garden after my coffee. There the plants greet me with a smile. That’s the moment I feel my efforts are worthwhile. I have arranged my plants in pots in a neat row. Tend them every day and make sure they grow. On delicate stems, each flower her beauty parades. I bask in the rainbow of their umpteen shades. They grow with sun’s caress and rain’s kiss For me, my garden is a source of indescribable bliss As each petal unfolds, from my heart rises a hymn, Seeing God’s chalice of beauty full to the brim. Greatly enjoy the tranquil moments in my garden. Before I took up my hobby, the land was totally barren. To my life, the blossoms add an ounce of beauty more Every morn, I wake to behold the loveliness waiting at my door.

You are a gift, not just to humans but to nature. And that's why it loves you deeply. Gardens are serene and beautiful. It connects us to what we cannot wholly connect ourselves to.

Valsa how well I understand the passion for your garden. We live in an estate who have a gardening service that mows our lawn and tidies the garden, then once a month I have a gardener whom we know well who does the planting and the cutting and the pruning , I water it every other evening. I felt I was meandering with you in your beautiful garden. Be well my friend. Hugs and blessings,Jennifer.

Valsa, I can see how after savoring your morning coffee, you make your way to your paradise where the plants warmly welcome you, recognizing your dedicated care. Every day, you tend to your flowers with attention, taking the time to appreciate their beautiful colors and delightful scents. You have a meticulous system in place, arranging them neatly in rows. Your garden is transformed into a beautiful sanctuary of tranquility, thanks to the gentle touch of sunlight and the refreshing embrace of rainfall. The speaker's meticulous care in planting the plants in perfectly aligned rows and nurturing each blossom showcases their deep passion and unwavering commitment to the pastime.

I loved joining you in your garden and can identify with the tranquility you describe. I began gardening with hubby about 14 years ago. What a delight our garden has become--both in the work and in the joy and color afterwards. I just love the smell of soil...strange, isn't it. Anyway, best wishes with the contest. This poem should do well. Have a pleasant evening, hugs, Sara

Dearest Valsa, You have honestly encapsulated the joy found in tending to your garden. I can visualize that each morning, as you step into your oasis after coffee, the plants greet you with smiles, affirming the worth of your efforts. Arranging them in neat rows, you nurture them daily, basking in the rainbow of their smells and colors. With sun's caress and rain's kiss, your garden becomes a source of indescribable bliss. I loved how each petal unfolds your heart with a gratitude hymn, revealing nature's divine beauty. Yet, amidst tranquil moments, your once barren land blooms with life, adding an extra ounce of beauty to your world each morning—a testament to the transformative power of nurturing and growth. - Blessings, Daniel

I was going to do this as a hobby also, but I have been a bit lazy with my gardening in the last year.. Your poem is a delightful ode to the joys of gardening, celebrating the transformative power of nurturing life amidst the tranquillity of nature. The imagery of the garden coming to life in the early morning, with plants greeting them with a smile, evokes a sense of warmth and connection. The careful arrangement of plants in neat rows and the tender care given to each flower highlight the speaker's dedication and love for their hobby.

I am sorry you still find difficulty in answering to my soup mail. It was nothing serious. I just wanted to check how you are, your health and your well being. Glad to know you are keeping fine. My responsibilities are still there as a house wife and also with many guests to entertain very often. So hardly I have time to spend on poetry Soup. Thanks for your comment. Since you have turned off comments, I can't respond to your poems. Stay blessed dear one.
