I knew the rules
I knew the game
I still played
I still believed
I had I chance
At winning
I had everything
In but I couldn’t
Even see that
You had put barely
In anything
I got caught up
In the rush
Of the high
Stakes
The prize
At the end
That wasn’t
Mine to win
