Gabriel

Bearer of good news and of her choice Friend of my Mother How sweet the sound of your voice You, who serves no other Than the One who knows the time Of when the death angel’s wings will no longer shudder Of when all the saints shall forever dine How silent and deafening your horn To the ears of God’s children, to mine Your blasts are for the sinner forlorn Will I finally hear you play? Have you been the one guarding me since I was born? Will the gray angel take my spirit to a dark lake to lay? Will this be how I meet your heavenly companion? Will it be in my sleep or when I travel through my day? Or will I lose my life to death a champion? I beg thee Protect me from the demon. Pray for me That I may be crowned with a holy death Pray to the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit, all three So that I may dwell where not a tear is left In the house of the Lord, where there is joyful laughter And all is illuminated without a Sun and Love is breath Pray that the Lord and I will be together Pray for me beside our lady, pray close to Mother.
