Fundering Kids
Fundering children,
shouts, screams and nonsense;
Life jumping out,
assaulting the mundanity;
Grumplebums moaning,
forgetting their youth;
Childhood a memory
now long forgotten;
Bogies and bums,
giggles and farts;
Let the kids play,
be rude and get dirty;
Let them make words up,
create their own language;
The real world can wait,
'til the taxman can pounce;
a bogey man scarier
than make believe nonsense;
Gibberish talk and silly walks,
Pythonesque without script;
We all love this nonsense,
our lives are ridiculous,
just stop and look;
The pretence and the lies,
the masks we wear,
life is a masquerade;
So be your young self,
go tell the boss
he's a blimping old blumberburp;
Change your job profile
on networking sites
to something more interesting:
Moon measurer or glitter maker.
Run around the workplace,
pretend you're a Marvel character,
Bring the fun back into your life,
then go see a shrink.......................
........................and look for a new job.
