my neophobia as always perched and ready against cherries, berries this stronghold of flavors wrapped by a heart that could block the sun an unassuming confection a final goodbye I've been too tiny to try did not give up on me

Just had to read this because my grandmother’s fruitcake was stolen from her car one Christmas Eve. Glad you finally tried fruitcake. What a fun poem!

A well-penned poem, Richard. I echo what Paul said, it's always relative, dislikes sometimes shepherd us to discover and implement something new. I wanted to thank you for reading and commenting on my poem: Past is Past. Nice to exchange thoughts with you.

Sometimes dislike can either put us off things, or else tempt us to explore something new (such as food with distinct flavours.) ~ Thank you for stopping by to read my poem to Carolyn. Regards // paul
