Frost On Your Noodle

If there's frost on your noodle, don't despair It's a sign of genius if you've got grey hair But the experts say when the colour takes flight Intelligence doesn't just happen overnight It takes years and years of bumps and grinds So make sure you don't get left behind To survive in this crazy and wacky old world Ya gotta be ready for whatever gets hurled Grey hair says intelligence between the ears Achieving great wisdom throughout the years A scholarly person you've turned out to be Now if only your kiddies could also see That parents are not just a couple of dolts May even be smarter than a lot of young colts Who may know computers and all that stuff That's not all there is, it's not quite enough To be able to deal with the challenges of life One needs the smarts to deal with strife For everyday problems that are bound to arise Facing head on life's every surprise Don't be embarrassed by frost on you noodle You've got the whole kit and caboodle Acquiring great knowledge throughout the years With loads of laughter and many tears © Jack Ellison 2014

Reminds me of that old saw...bald in the front, you're a thinker, bald in the back, you're a genius. Bald in the front and the back, you just think you're a genius. Hmm, - I should write something about that, lol. Thanks Jack

Jack enjoyed this one very much. It made feel better as the frost seems to be getting more and more each day. The last two lines were so true. Great Job!!

Dragon says I shouldn't worry about grey hair... The way he's making me pull it out... There won't be much left soon... LOL. One of my young men away at college is beginning to see me as smarter... Or else he's using such words to get me to send him more cash... He's a wily one. The other still here at home thinks I'm dumber than a box of rocks... But they always realize what they had... after they've left the nest. Dragon's still at that 2 year old adorable - love everybody stage. He's so cute!

PS. Not relishing the thought of Dragon in his teenage stage of beging against everything... and appreciating nothing... I think Grandpa Troll will be kept very busy... I won't let him run from it... If I get a teenager... Then he'll have a teenager, too... LOL... Can you imagine?
