From Words - Everything

Words are a peculiar kind of magic. Alone, they do nothing of themselves, and yet through the Great Orchestrator they became everything else.

Not a lot coming to mind ... she'll come back eventually, though. I'm doing well. How about yourself?

Have read the comments below, Timothy. May I add that words on their own lack the most important thing, and that is emotion, in whatever sense we look at it. Regards // paul

That is a great point, Paul. Words need the accompaniment of both the speaker and the listener to have any real effect.

Love this one, and WE are all great orchestrators here!! (unless you mean this in a spiritual way about God and creation)

I wonder if " a Great Orator" would sound a bit better. It's all about presentation, and you present this very well indeed.

Like Maurice below me, you also share some good points ... thanks again!

I get the point of your poem, Tim, but "Great Orchestrator" seems inaccurate, preferring "Great Lexicographer". But your poems brings up an even greater and profounder question: Who really invented language, Man or God? Not enough space here to elaborate on my opinions. Maybe soupmail would be better to explain. No time right now. /M

Thanks for your profound advice, Maurice. I'll take it into consideration ... and, of course, thanks for the Soup Mail messages. Always enjoy our talks.

Great philosophical one, Timothy. I love that you refer to this being as the Great Orchestrator. Could go several directions. Perhaps you mean the writer who weaves the words or God himself, the maker of all creators. Well put together piece! Always, Laura

Yes it could go in a couple different directions. My main intention was from the perspective of God, but in other, perhaps lesser, ways we too can create to some degree. And sometimes it can be like music ...
