From Every Hill

From Every Hill By Dane Smith-Johnsen From every hill that raises up The Lord can feel His bitter cup. From every heart that gathers ‘round The Lord will send salvation down. In every foe there can be found. Goodness thriving, hidden, unbound. Search the soul and commit the heart. The Lord will help give peace a start. Open minds make enemies friends For each conflict there is a mend. Every soldier feels the dead cry. While back at home, people ask, “Why?” God in heaven watches us all. Whether smiling or in a brawl, Forced decisions are not the way. Together, find a brighter day. Mountains and valleys; desert lands. Where are your peaceful quiet sands? Across waters, destiny waits. And lots of fighting based on hate. Please open your hearts together. Let not loathing thoughts unfetter. Stop warring words that God must hear. We are His children; bring peace near. © Dane Ann Smith-Johnsen 9-12-09
