From Distant Shores
Evening arrives
waves caress the shoreline
We wait here while
those on distant shores
live, play and work
Sunlight gives way
to moonlight
light to darkness
Starlight
provides liberation and
a brief respite from toil
News from distant shores
takes time to reach us
before it does
we will have become
ready to receive it
our eyes open once more
we can see through a brick
wall in time
From distant shores come
tales of hope and
tales of desolation
The sorrow we hear of
is the sorrow we feel
the orb which rules
the night
Keeps shining..........
