Lips that have kissed iniquity Her lips parted with such ease My lips cracked with your displeasure For you are a jealous God I felt your lips brush by my ear As you spoke to my heart These lips now utter your praises. Today is my new beginning I have longed for today My today influences all my tomorrows As my yesterdays have led to today You have gifted me with your splendor Today is my gift to you These lips now utter your praises. Richard, this poem is awesome poem in the contest. However, the title was the theme as well. Therefore, because you did not name your poem "The Gift" and it was such a good write, I had to give recognition. A major criterion in the contest that you name your poem "The Gift".
