From Bondage To Bondage Part B

But then my friends in sixties I suppose From Abundance to Complacency we rode Secured in all we ever thought possible With riches that we all wanted to behold New houses built in every locale And triple garages and adding on Along with gadgets left and right With each room having a phone Losing a president, mourning the loss He left this world way too soon And just as we were gathering steam We somehow just busted our balloon Our pleasures shot, our goals unattained We drifted into our own Woodstock Acid trips and absentee slips And all those mental blocks We traveled from our daily ways Although we tried our best From Complacency to Apathy We lost our muscled chests But still we walked the same old walk And did the same old grind We laughed a lot and cried a lot And left the past behind Blinded or not caring now We travel a different path From Apathy to Dependency Go ahead and figure the math Obamacare and the hands of time Are ticking faster these days We’re visiting where we first began And are closer to those same old ways But still we have a chance to change But change will never come We’ve opened another can of worms That explodes like an Atomic Bomb Yes, soon we’ll visit those older days Our ancestors went through in time With Dependence back to Bondage Where we’ll let the blind lead the blind We forgot about what got us here We blindly let others prevail And like a ship torn by the sea We now go down to …well maybe not
