From a Father

From a father It's time to rest your big girl head To snuggle in your big girl bed And gently close those big girl eyes Dream dreams of big girl butterflies And flappy bears and dinosaurs Who scamper scared at big girl roars Of pirate ships on golden shores With waves that crash like big girl snores I watch my big girl lying there And stroke your curly big girl hair This tiny, softly breathing ball Not such a big girl after all And though one day my little lady You'll grow up fast and even maybe Have a big girl of your own You'll still forever be my baby.
