Friends of Mine
Can I tell you of the black dogs that follow me all the time?
The dog constantly talking to me is named Anxiety.
It grows bigger everyday,
following me where ever I go.
It's cousin is named Depression, he also follows me.
Though he stays hidden most of the time,
he shows himself when I think to much.
Anxiety is constantly on my shoulders;
stopping me from getting up in the morning.
Barking at me when I have something to say,
and he muffles my voice.
Someday's they aren't there,
but I know they'll return.
