Intro: I would like to devote this poem to my great friend Vijay, as he's the one who first exposed me to the 'Lay" form( all lines must have 8 syllables and rhyme)
Friends from my youth are all elapsed
One died sadly by his people, ditched
From someone with an odd wedding,
To those who share beds for sleeping
One wise taught around the world's way
Other spanked by car on roadway.
From the one, they tease mate's bad show
To one who blames self, pals bestow
Other heart laid away and read,
newspaper, laying on his bed
None told us life would be this way
We weren't told round daily decay.
I'd call on your birthday with kind.
I'd kneel to soothe your gloomy mind.
And I'd grasp what you vibe me to.
I'd sob on your chest as dust drew.
I tend you as your grin sieve hope.
All this will be trailed by a rope.
