Friends At the Park
Spring has most certainly sprung with the coolest little breeze,
Outdoor time daily has made the mind and body rest in ease,
Swings and meeting other great ladies are healing for you,
Friendship building with two women are in the works too.
I bumped into a friend at the local corner park earlier today,
She said "my goodness" extreme weight loss has come your way,"
We had not seen each other since last summer, last year,
"Never thought I would be a 9.5" I said and smiled with a cheer.
We exchanged numbers and made a coming up future plan,
She has some clothes to give to me as quickly as she can,
Now that I am her size she wants to pass these things along,
A great day at the park with what I call a new friendship song.
** ode to the local parks throughout our cities,
you can meet new friends for socialization.
