Frequency

Congratulations on POTD. Thank you for your perceptive, humane thought provoking, versified morsels. Perhaps when we are at last unshackled from our mortal coils, we will no longer have to look through the glass darkly. Alas, the doors of perception will be wiped clean (my humble thanks to Shakespear, St Francis, and Blake for the above sentences). Lady Labyrinth is imbued with ideas; philosophical, terrestrial, extraterrestrial, germain, topical, and urgent. In prose and verse, she is a lady for all seasons. Her discussions and teachings increase my own sense of wonder. Her latest postings, set my mind to wondering if there will come a day when this snail's paced time machine to which I am so uncomfortably strapped will accelerate to the degree that I will smash out from the boundaries of time itself, unfasten the safety belt, be happy and comfortable. LL provokes thought, along with a profound sense of humanity. What a gift! What a blessing!

She's an original. ~~~~I suppose that other people's closed-minded rants~~~~ could be considered poetry. After all, "poetry" cannot be defined with consensus any more than "art" can be defined. My Good Lady, in the Nineteenth Century, the celebrated English poet Rudyard Kipling urged us to "Carry the white man's burden." He actually believed that those who had to worry about sunburn were somehow superior to those who did not. Go figure! The much-lauded poet Ezra Pound believed fascism was the way to go. Richard Wagner was an unwavering antisemite. Before gaining notoriety as the humanist poet of the people, Walt Whitman railed against the Irish, as a young reporter in N. Y. C. Even the psychologist Carl Jung (the collective unconscious, animus, anima etc.) went on German radio in the 1930's to voice his opinion that Jews just weren't like "the rest of us." The above examples just go to show that brilliance in one area may not carry over into areas of common sense and sincere empathy. In short, it's well not to have idols, for they're apt to fall. Abraham Lincoln advised us to "listen to our better angels" which is advice I try to live by.

When I consider other poets who had similar questions, there are many. I think Yeats is an interesting poet, he instantly comes to mind - particularly with his interest in automatic writing, along with George Hyde-Lees (had he not met that individual, he may not have written the poetry he is so well known for...an interesting thought in itself).

I try not to think too much about the time when I will have to leave this mortal body behind. The manner in which I exit, quite unsettling and disconcertingly nightmarish (if I dwell on it too long, one might say I am apt to become maudlin or more Poe'esque), but whatever happens happens. I have to go with the flow of it for the time being. I may fight it when it arrives...but there will have to be a welcomed release at some point to move on and through the next experience. I am certain there is a journey after we depart, it doesn't just end and fade to black and we rot in the ground or become ashes that dissolve in air. I do believe we live on (eternally), in what form or manner, I will only know at that point in time when I pass. I believe in reincarnation. I'm not afraid of where I will go - it won't be Hell.

I think Hell is here in this dimension sometimes. This is Hell, for many people, the socially disadvantaged, women/children raped in war (Ukraine), all victims/survivors of all wars, military and personal, child sexual abuse/trafficking, disease and poverty, religious persecution. I will meet my loved ones who've left their mortal bodies, for the next life - I think this will happen. I'll embrace them again, experience their love again. At the end of our time here, what will be most important to us and something we all have in common, is the thought of Love, the need for Love, of self and others. This is when we will well and truly understand the concept of Christ consciousness. Just my opinion of course. Thank you for your interesting thoughts above. I have my father (now deceased since May 2010) to thank for my love and fascination with the written word specifically poetry. He introduced me to Samuel Taylor Colderidge and Blake. It is very sad. Women and children are raped, abused and murdered in many wars, this war in Ukraine puts the message clearly in front of the Western World. You now know my overall thoughts on Pro Choice and Abortion via your poem, "Women Not Wombs". I was not fully aware of Polish laws regarding abortion, but having looked into it, prompted by your comment below, I am of the understanding, whilst it is a near-total ban -

Annie--Yes! DIO--"Heaven And Hell." I listen to NPR radio--real life stories and interviews from immigrants, refugees, etc. It includes the BBC! Above you mention...women/children raped in war (Ukraine), I heard the interviews, their brothers, fathers, tortured before assassinated. The Women made it to Poland border. Abortion is illegal in Poland. The woman reported they are desperate! It's 3 months into this war!!!!

The screen name kind of ‘came to me’, LL, as do mantras and inspirations. In truth, there is no one here who may seek. The ‘trick’ is abiding in thought rested stillness, then our emptiness is energised by an aspect of God consciousness in fullness. Spirituality addresses the heart, religion binds the mind. As such, nothing to beat direct experience, at play within.

Thank you for sharing that thread Unseeking Seeker. Such a mysterious nom de plume, but perhaps I think, a good fit for you, as if ...”no need to seek, I trust the way it flows”. Maybe I have got that all wrong, in which case profuse apologies. But please take as a compliment. I can’t help but to question and to investigate, it is part of my psychological make-up. Perhaps that is why I am here, for it is my belief, that we are all ‘souls’ living within skin and bone, having a “human experience”. And everything in my personal history, has led me to this point - perhaps this is "my experience". This is what I believe. I am not religious, I have said this quite often here before, but believing in the supernatural and paranormal, and combined with an interest in the ‘science’ of it all as well; it is my firm belief that there exists a ‘divine’ or 'primary' source we all emanate from and eventually go home to. “All Roads Lead Home”.

I believe we all have a message written in our DNA (no matter the colour of our skin, our cultures, our beliefs) from that ‘source’ - and that for me equates to “I Am that I Am”. I do believe we are given the opportunity to ‘recycle’ (reincarnation), that is, we are given a ‘choice’ after death, when we finally meet that ‘source’ whether we would like to return and what we would like to learn in our next ‘human experience’. Perhaps we are given the choice to experience another life form in another existence. I have no answers, but I question. I was reading this a few days ago – “Who are the Elohim” : https://www.logos.com/grow/who-are-elohim/ ; “My friend handed me his Hebrew Bible, open to Psalm 82. He said simply, “Here, read that . . . look at it closely.” The first verse hit me like a bolt of lightning: God [elohim] stands in the divine assembly; he administers judgment in the midst of the gods [elohim]”.

I have seen ghosts and lived with ghosts from childhood to present (my two younger sisters will attest this as well, for they have had similar experiences, but perhaps not as often) enough to give you goosebumps, very odd occurrences indeed; since 2016 I have been witnessing strange lights in the night sky, usually when lots of low lying cloud, which I am certain, are not human (either off world, or interdimensional, who can say). I read somewhere “ghosts” visit us in our dreams. Perhaps the ‘Holy Ghost’ has visited me in a dream, but I am not aware of having that dream...yet. All I know is that strange things make themselves known to me - and I cannot help but to think (with a logic mind, believe it or not) that these visitations (if you will)/sightings, do send messages - but what it all means, I have no full understanding. I know I am not the only person experiencing this. I have been experiencing these occurrences from my childhood.

But the strange lights in the sky (which I have taken videos and photos of, implanted in comment boxes for two other poems) - I have only been seeing since 2016 (but quite regularly, enough to know they are not search lights, or planes, or chinese lanterns). Enough to intuitively feel / sense that they are not from our world.

Perhaps what we are seeing in the sky are Elohim or from the Elohim (you can take that as singular or plural). When UAP disclosure hit its stride in 2020, Haim Eshed, former director of space programs for the Israel Ministry of Defense for nearly 30 years said the U.S. and Israel have been in contact with alien life forms representing a “Galactic Federation,” and President Donald Trump knows about it. State side/or rather Canada, the former Canadian Defence Minister, Paul Hellyer, believes in the existence of extraterrestrials, advising there are already extra-terrestrials living amongst us, but they won’t share their advanced technology with us because of our warring and polluting ways. Both these gentlemen are in their 80’s, with a wealth of experience behind them and safe to state, not “nutters” but of sound mind.

Perhaps already too late with the technology, as we’ve pilfered from that well known UAP crash in 1947, and others and perhaps if the controversy is to be believed, we have been in negotiations for years with extra-terrestrials (intelligent alien lifeforms). The testimony from school children attending the Ariel School, Zimbabwe, 16/9/1994, is compelling. As well as the testimony from school children (now adults) from Westall Highschool, Melbourne, Australia 1966 is compelling. It is quite obvious these children were not experiencing mass hysteria, but telling the plain truth of it all. Eshed told Israel's Yediot Aharonot newspaper that “humanity is not ready,” for the public disclosure of extraterrestrials who he claims currently are in talks with government agencies on our planet. Of course when humanity is confronted with the reality of life existing outside our world by their undisclosed ‘arrival’, it will no doubt make us question all our pre-conceived notions of ‘religion’ and ‘God’… and hopefully ‘war’. Do off-world or interdimensional beings worship / believe/ come from God? Are they at all spiritual? Are they, as some will tout, 'demons'? When that 'arrival' occurs, there will be great disruption to humanity's psyche and debate and a challenging of faith and belief in God’s existence and our lives/souls being with and from God. I think everything in the universe is Light and Dark. Therefore the Elohim (singular or plural) are both Light … and Dark. This no doubt will be debated stringently by others.

Yay to that Lady Labyrinth! We need more people to reach out and listen to real life stories! Zora Asters, originators of duality of good, evil, lightness, darkness, heaven and hell...concepts adopted by Christianity 600 yrs. later...So many people don't even know why they think what they think...and imagine some women do not even stand up for woman's rights! Thank you Lady Goldsmith. Well, it is thoroughly amazing where poetry transports one these days. All manner of food to eat here, if one is willing to dive deep...and of course, if one is hungry enough. That being said, most people live in their own small worlds and we are becoming alien to each other isolated behind our screens, not fully aware of what is most "real" in life, pro-choice, stable housing, health and Social Welfare etc. Perhaps when the other world arrives, be that extraterrestrial, interdimensional (Paranormal/spiritual), they are the good guys and can set us straight. But like most things in life, nothing is that straight forward and all existence is Light and Dark.

True Anaya. I thought the video artwork matched well your "Women not Wombs" poem. But the music is a small part of the whole story here. It's a multiverse of a poem. It is interesting to note that the two "Reality" video links I put in here encapsulate the issues of women and homelessness and (all homeless).

Watching REALITY: Natasha is 22 years old, she offers the viewer her experience - that she is homeless (but clean, and that is quite apparent), but she notes she is unable to secure urgent housing, or 'tranisitional' housing, because she is not seen as urgently requiring it - whereas if she was pregnant on the streets and alone, or substance abusing, she would qualify for urgent assistance. One can imagine, that a female, desperate for stable accommodation, would consider the option of falling pregnant without terminating, to be offered housing, resorting to any manner of that occurring, to fall into prostitution for eg, and to remove all pain, substance abuse which requires the $$. It is a vicious cycle. Something has to change in this world with regards to the mindset of humanity, beginning with Social Welfare. Perhaps if the Nephilim (produce of ben elohim raping daughters of men) were to impregnate human women (again), then the bible thumpers would back pro-choice.
