Freedom's Power
Deep regrets lie within
He misses his wife and family
Tears fall down his aging face
His lawyer dropped his case
Numerous luxuries outside
But it's in the darkness he presides
Tastes of anger, he's stuck
No longer believes in luck
Self worth diminishes from degrading stares
Loneliness consumes him; no one cares
Made a big mistake, he was wrong
Consequences remain to be paid, stay strong
Forgetting how it feels to be cared about
Without freedom he goes crazy, screams and shouts
Good news, a letter from his wife
Wrote about the kids, she misses him in her life
Again his heart breaks
Didn't know what a difference he makes
The day to begin fresh and new
He now knows that not having freedom can do
