Freedom of Scars
Only seventeen
taken from the school benches
to be swept up and in love
they meant a lot for each other
a baby boy and an eight year old
girl was born from their love
he took her everywhere
but on a dreaded night
due a shady way of life
nineteen shots of jealousy
took him away
after a year
you can still hear his echo
through his nine year old girl’s tears
her feelings her mother harbored
freedom of scars
could be altered
a new life started
she got married again
that was a glimpse of life
of a friend
