Freedom

Man needs many things in life: Food, house, children and wife; But the thing which is needed the most And could be given away at no cost Is man’s independence and freedom N’ over him his own heart’s kingdom. Freedom of just body is not all; One needs also freedom of soul. But that too doesn’t suffice at all, Nor that’s the man’s life’s goal; To make good countries and kingdoms, There are needed likewise many freedoms: Freedom from the shackles of ignorance, Freedom from unwelcome interference, Freedom from narrow-mindedness, Freedom from black-heartedness Freedom from the chains of illiteracy, Freedom from egoism and hypocrisy, Freedom from darkness of minds, Freedom from hatred’s winds. Take these points for God’s sake Get up my nation! Get awake!
