Free Verse

My eyes widened and my heart pounded As I stare in wonder at the sight before me The wondrous noise filled my ears And made my heart flutter with joy The mysterious man with two hearts Ran up to me and said "Pretty little lady, will you travel with me?" I smiled, but that smile soon faded For this was only a dream A false reality To be cruelly taken away from me I said no, and his ageless face fell I walked out the doors Which could lead to endless wonder and possibility I looked behind me As the wonder-filled blue box Disappeared for the last time
