Free Cee I Ink Therefore I Am

I INK THEREFORE I AM Of course I’ll never forget the woman Her name has been needled into my flesh forever with ink that makes me think What if? As I woefully wonder Wonder what if the woman hadn’t have been the woman the woman had been What if the roses would have been real? What if the scars could finally heal? What if her promises hadn’t been promiscuous and pernicious propaganda to produce the inevitability of her selfish desire What if I had been the one to put out the fire? What if the stars stopped seducing the sun into nighttime What if solemnity didn’t seem so sublime It happened on a day darker than the darkness at midnight And I wonder What if I never had to wonder Why, wonder I, did white turn black Front to back Smiles to frowns Ups to downs Clowns to clouds Candy to bitter brandy Licorice to liquor Fine and fancy to forgotten Silken sheets to common cotton What if and why? Two questions that make me think All because of some indelible ink © 2012…..PHREEPOETREE ~free cee!~
