Free Cee the San Sabastian Sun

THE SAN sebastion SUN It was on a beach somewhere in San Sebastian When the sun sought supremacy over the sky Storm clouds didn’t stand a chance And, per chance, we came to realize That the same thing that keeps lovers together Is often the same thing that set them apart A smile that beguiles A wink that makes one think And an answer that wasn’t born of a question But rather from a solution That sunny day was absolute absolution Forgiveness for acts of actuality Nurtured by neutrality And the frailties of forevermore That day was fate’s front door A porch with a torch burning bright A front yard with yards and yards of yellow roses And tulips that tipped into the wind It was love that reality could never rescind Nor could it redact a fact of fantasy She held out her hand And asked if she had ever told me how much she loved me I asked if she still felt that way She responded firmly with “forever” It was on a beach in San Sebastian When the sun was sequestered by the darkness We both came to realize that what keeps lovers together Is often the same as what sets them apart Two hearts that knew they were one from the start And that is when I began to believe that she and I would never part I wonder…………………. © 2012...PHREEPOETREE…..~free cee!!

A fine verse of love, Jeffrey...particularly like the second and third lines repeated as lines two and three in the last verse...Great job! - Tim
