Fred

There once was a worm named Fred. Fred was a wee little fellow. His home was inside an apple tree. He always squirmed his way up and down the apple tree. One day a bird eyed Fred. He was sprawled on a red apple munching away. “What a delicious apple this is,” Fred said, with an absurd word. The bird decided to glide, but collided with an apple. His vision was blurred and his chirps slurred. He couldn’t see Fred or utter a word. Fred turned his head, and was very scared. He wished for a moment that he was a canary. Then he could flee in the air like a fairy. Fred fled, an crawled inside the apple tree. He dreaded to face the pernicious old bird. The bird wobbled toward the hole. He called to Fred, I will set you free, if you agree to share your tree. Fred was suspicious. He knew that the pernicious old bird couldn’t be trusted. How do I know that you will abide by the decree of our agreement? I guarantee you that I take pride in my plea to set you free. Fred was wary of the pernicious old bird.He decided to bury their differences. They shared the tree for a wee time. Winter set in and the bird flew south. The worm nestled down for a jubilee winters nap.
