Freckled With Stars
Venus peeks down from above,
admiring Earth's azure seas.
And instantly falls in love
with all the beauty She sees.
The tides rise and ebb offshore,
lured by phases of the moon.
And tethered; forevermore,
they will waltz to Luna's tune.
Shrouded in shadows of black;
night's dark curtain appears stark.
Yet, when Luna draws it back,
golden moonbeams gild the dark.
Heaven is freckled with stars,
piercing an ebony sky.
And a reddish blush tints Mars,
as a shooting star streaks by.
