Fragile Hearts
Feeling like birds trapped in cages, the fragile ones
Run from life, running, fleeing, flying even to where they do feel free
And safe, comforted and loved
Going on their way, trying to keep a front so brave but being
Instead haunted by a broken existence, a torn past, a
Love which could not see them as they really are!
Exhausted by life and its many ways, the fragile ones do
Hope for a turn of the wind, for the coming of the fairy with her wand
Even for a savior, anything to save them from the grips of the evil
Amassed in this world, meant only to tear them down, to break their esteem
Resorting to twisted ways and calculated complots!
Twisted world, here the fragile ones feel not at home
So much that they glance up at the skies and wish for the comfort they promise!
