Forsaken

In the frozen arms of the old oak tree
A rustic birdhouse perches
Snow covered, forsaken

Hullo, Kim, you did great highlighting the scene. I recently saw the same sort of scene, except the birdhouse is in one of my Mulberry trees. Actually, the imagery worked perfectly for a Kimo, because the last time I checked, the creator of the Kimo form mentions how a Kimo works best without too much movement/action. If I was running a Kimo contest, your poem would place at the top, especially since this is wot I would consider to be a true-blue Kimo.
