Forgotten

Walking down a lonely road, I pass a pond which no one knows. I crept along to its edge, And deep within i found the courage. I dropped my eyes to the black abyss, The things i saw i wished to miss. The dreams and wishes of the damned, Staring back i began to stand. My body ran from that hellish place, My mind it stayed in death's embrace. Nevermore, did i see, The God i praised, watching me.
