Forgotten?
I saw a bird fall from the sky, I watched a grown man
as sit on the corner with his only possessions left in his
life as he cried…I meet a girl who had never seen a sun
rise, because she was blind. I watched as a mother as
she held her only son as he died, he had been the victim
of a drive by. I meet a man who had lost both his legs
because he had been hit by a drunk driver as he cross
the street...every time he would think of it, he would
grind his teeth. I meet a man who was once a Priest who
had he lost his faith in God because of a thief…With all
these things that I have seen, you would think or wonder
how I could still believe that there is a God that cares?
I stopped I paused as I started to think. The bird that fell
from the sky, had baby birds that had just left the nest
and that man on the corner was still alive and he could
walk, the blind girl smelled things I could not see, the
mother who lost her son, was now an advocate to stop
violence on the street, the man who lost his legs could
still think, the Priest was not dead and his faith was not
suppose to be in man, but only in God… and we all seem to
have forgot, God had not failed them but he was building
them up, for each one them that had something taken from
them, but they still had their life…all, but the bird…except
for her baby birds that had just left the nest. God had not
forgotten those people but it seems that they had forgotten him.
