Forgiveness

Forgiveness Oh Lord, a contrite and broken heart and spirit you cannot reject In your abundance of mercy and compassion do not me forget My soul is grieving please pardon my transgressions I truly repent Shine your face again on this miserable man on you I depend. Hi John, a wonderful piece of poetry you lay before us here. Congratulations on your win in the contest. This piece did flow like a winner. This is such a heartfelt write, a prayer that would be answered. The beauty actually comes through the simplicity of the write. This has to be a seven....Mike.

Very nicely done, John. I think this is exactly the forgiveness Laura is wanting to see from us. Mine is not at all like this! I just went with an experience from my life. it's not posted yet. Sure hope it will be ok for what Laura is looking for. It's really cool how yours reads like a prayer.
