Forgive Me
Forgive me for writing this less than happy poem
My mood today is one of reflection
Of a lifetime of events... Some sad, mostly happy
But a lifetime spent enjoying what this old world has to offer
It's been said many times, "we only get to go around once!"
And that never has more impact
Than when we get close to the end of our journey
It's hard to imagine that one day I won't be here
It's just such a final thing to conceive
Be that as it may, I intend to live it up until that very last day
With the help of all you sweet people and caring Soupites
Hmmm, Soupites... wonder if that's been used before
Anyway, let me take this opportunity
To say how much all you guys mean to me
Since early August 2012... it's been a blast!
But worry not, I'm still here for quite a while yet!
