Forgetting You

I lay here thinking of what I might do Wondering why I still care for you You did me no good, my feelings destroyed At least I have learnt who to avoid For I am my own person whom you can't change I have now become strong and independent with age So I no longer need you nor do I regret Ever closing that door I'm ready to forget In my heart you will stay, this I do know But now's come the time I must let you go Maybe one day we'll pass in the street Yet till that day comes my life is complete
