Forget the Crowd
Forget the crowd and write.
Write from dusk, until the cock crows,
From the heart, and soul that nobody knows.
Forget the crowd and laugh.
Laugh from your eyes, from your fingertips,
From your soft pillowed, pouting lips.
Forget the crowd and dance.
Dance from your waist, all in your mind,
For the you, you know, or are searching to find.
Forget the crowd and sing.
Sing from your lungs, extend your voice,
For everyone to know, you still have a choice
Forget the crowd and live.
Live for the day, as is your birthright,
For the time before day, becomes the longest night.
