Forget-Me-Not
In minutiae, a time encapsulated world,
lies buried beneath my feet
A seedling responds to the earthly beat.
Vague in it's outline it steadily grows
Seeking the barrier, somehow it knows
Soil crumbling surface no longer retains
Joyously emerging into sunlight and
proclaims itself
Blessed little forget-me-not
Upturned face, hidden eyes of blue.
In simplistic innocence comes smiling through.
