Forever Gone

FOREVER GONE Would you like to stand by me. Now that I am no more. Is it me you long to see . Since I did more than walk out the door. Do you miss what our life was like. Before I hit the floor. I was on my 3rd strike. Before the doctors order I did ignore. I decided to take a hike.. While things for me got real bad. Drinking my last drink at the bar. Wasting each and every single buck. In this hike I did not get far. My life line had ran out of luck. Without making it to my car. They found me behind a dumping truck. To late to perform C.P.R. In this coffin forever stuck. Now I am lost and gone forever. For not obeying the doctors rule. On me do not waste a tear. It was my choice to leave. While I sat to drink my last beer. I remember thinking. I am here because of my drinking. Maybe in my next life, I will see things even clearer. I.T. S.K.A.T. POETRY 2 -26-10

I love a beer or a glass of wine but only in moderation , This poem brilliantly portrays the dangers of excess . I love the way your mind works .

Very well written. Had family with a bit of the drinking problem and have passed on, both with liver damage badly. My dad had an article published in his local paper about the evils of drinking being the Devil's doing. Ellen
