Forever a New Year

The winter winds blows by As if to kiss my cheek A smell of frost ,now fills the air The trees are waving like they're saying "Goodbye this year" On this porch I sit And watched this year go by My memory, is not so clear What have I gained or had I lost Throughout this year I'll live each day, As if it is a year long For each year, seems like a day The present is forever fleeing And a new year on it's way

Every new becomes old and passes by, so the present is forever fleeing and a new year on it's way. Beautifully penned. Loved always, my lovely poet friend,bl

Oh Jerry, I'm freezing and frightened to death that it really is on the way. A great write to make me feel this way.
