Forest Stroll
I take a stroll one fine fall day
And stop to look around
Forest life is always at play
Listening to sweet forest sound
So many things for me to see
Looking above or on the ground
Squirrels that jump from tree to tree
Sending leaves flying through the air
One leaf comes floating down on me.
So serene no sorrow nor care
Can plague me when walking here
It's beauties in fall so rare
Sweet forest in my heart held dear
You are medicine for my soul
I feel your presence ever near
A dear runs fast his eyes like coal
He looks so frightened rushing by.
To run from me his only goal
So many treasures within you lie
And here I'm close to Him
Looking down or to the sky
Even though here lights are dim
I feel the peace in every limb.
