Tranquil. I like the timeless river ... in an ever changing world it's nice to have those simple pleasures one can rely on.

I like how you compare the peaceful nocturnal moments with the implied disruption caused by the arrival of a new day, Richard. ~ Regards // paul

Mystic Rose Rose, Thanks for that thoughtful comment. Now if you read from my comments to some of the other fine poets you may've noticed that today (Feb 27th) is Liz Taylor's birthday - Full title Dame Elizabeth Rosemond Taylor DBE. Which husband did you like the best? -Richard

Wow~~ Did she outlive all those husbands/kill those husbands/ or just decided she needed a new one? Were you speaking about the Elizabeth Taylor, the actress? Sara

Sara, Thank you for your visit too. It's a warming Saturday here and Elizabeth Rosemond Taylor's 89th birthday. She was married eight times to seven men I read today. -Richard

The utter serenity, stillness and beauty of dawn in a forest is captured here so well, Richard.

Thank you Carolyn, for commenting on my haiku. Never my specialty, fumbling like Quasimodo it seems to me. It means so much that you appreciate the try. -Richard

Bridget, Thank you for this. Always wondered about the magic in a word. Bridget, Bridgit, Briget or Brigid is a Gaelic/Irish female name derived from the noun brígh, meaning "power, strength, vigor, virtue". An alternate meaning of the name is "exalted one". Wow... :] -Richard
