For You-Dad
We never got a chance,
to go to that place in France,
you said we'd stand on them
fields and all, the one from
the picture on mums kitchen
wall.
Said we'd jump out of a plane,
to the ground, from the beautiful
sky, ski-diving, that sounded great,
even though I'm afraid of
heights.
We never got a chance,
to go skiing like we agreed,
to on the way to the shop,
or complete the golden mile,
that would have been fun to
watch.
You see there were so much,
that we were meant to do,
but i will do them for the two
of us, I'll do them all for
you.
And although you won't be there,
i know you'll keep me safe,
so okay I am scared of heights,
but I'll try my best not to be so
afraid.
And i know that i can't handle
much beer, but i won't stop
till i reach the last pub, so
after i can say to you, that
we have done all of this
stuff.
