For the Love of My Country
For The Love of My Country
Each country has its own Sunset
Each has its unique industry
But none has Sunrise for Sunset
Nor Sunset that is quite sundry
So I better love MY Country!
Love and Humanity rule our Day
We’ve nil for which to exchange
Treasured culture to let decay
Nor reason Nature to rearrange
And replace with what’s strange.
We wander wide and free
In the Marketplace of knowledge
Choice of belief is open and free
Tolerance as we loudly pledge
To neighbour across the hedge!
What's Caesar’s we all surrender
And receive what is of our own
Neither a confirmed Pretender
Who act Gent when he is Clown
Or Narcissus in a loaned Gown!
When we argue we spill no blood
As brother loses temper to brother
We quickly tone down the mood
Lost temper we find for another
Happy chicks, to live in one brood.
This is who we are:
Take off our boundary
Leave our souls bare
To all and to sundry
Like Almighty be fair.
We love our Country
Keep yours to yourself
We value our Divinity-
It is not on the shelf
For sale, until infinity.
