For She Sleeps Lonely

The polished stone bears her name For all to see she lies at rest, I though seek someone to blame Why was my heart torn from my chest. I held her hand and watched her leave I beseeched the Lord, I asked him why, I cannot weep, I cannot grieve, If I don't believe how can I cry. The rage within corrodes my soul Bitterness consumes my mind, Oh Lord cast me from your fold Erase my being from all mankind. Any life without her near Is no life, her love I crave, Lay me down beside my dear, For she sleeps lonely in her grave.
