For Sharon Weimer

"So…when I leave you The pain of leaving A part of myself behind Shall linger…forever" I broke off there to wipe a tear And recover moments of her sweet presence here And lessons of our fragile "forever", the mortal mist We live within, and the sad rising of the happy sun The fading borders between the night and day, bliss Like a cloud at the vestige of the bay. Dear Sharon You shall never be alone For leaving you are never gone Your words are carved in stone And set in time in every dawn The poet stop to think again It is coming that begins the pain.

Sharon has left quite a legacy here, Shango. It seems like months since she has visited and her presence has certainly been missed. I can see the poem you posted prompted a response from her and I'm glad to know she's doing well. Perhaps she'll grace us with another write at some point. A beautiful dedication to her in this poem! Love, Carolyn

Your lovely comment, which is a poem in itself, brought me here. Your talent, your beautiful heart is remembered well. This is too gracious of you, for me, and I do feel undeserving. However, it is so beyond welcome and so appreciated, I find tears in my eyes, and words that will not come. Thank you kind friend, for you do not realize how you lift my spirit. And remind me of this beautiful home I miss so. Hugs to you, blessings and joy. I will not forget. love, shar xoxo
