For Feelin' So Blue

Friends humor and play me (They know I'm chra-zee) Patsy sings blue God I miss you So lone-lee now Never knew how without you to cope Losing false hope that keeps me stumbling nowhere, I hear rumbling and mumbling of wraiths Fading blind faith... Need your cozy croon Your comforting tune Your old fashioned song Don't seem to belong anywhere anymore You ache to my core Why be so cruel Why leave this old fool alone with his fears after too many years Why leave me behind to fumble and find that smile in the den that wide joyful grin Can't look long your way I wrench back away to wander the tomb of one vacant room one made up bed Are you really dead... Tell me what to do to replace my lost you how to turn off our light and sleep alone tonight "Crazy": Written by Willie Nelson and performed by the late Patsy Cline *This poem got an N/A in the contest 'Any Poem #32'

A great song by Patsy Cline and her soulful words make themselves known through yours here... I like the smooth flow of this poem with the couplet rhyming. A very emotive piece, Tim. Beautifully written!... I wrote a poem similar to this titled, "Near".

PS.....sometimes when I feel the need to visit that lonely place, I listen to the music score from "Broke Back Mountain",.....as sad as it is, it can satisfy that longing to feel that emotion again..... Just good not to stay there too long, but sometimes we just need to go there for awhile!

There isn't anything that hits that lonely place quite so much as a song like this.....something from Willie Nelson can always bring out the tears, and choke my throat, and squeeze my heart with all the questions we ask God. The whys are not for us to know, I suppose...but the music helps us cope, and remember. I know this is personal to you Tim.....not just a made up dramatic scene you have described. It helps to share. :)

You have brought me to tears more times than I can count, Tim. I'm going for the box of tissue...this is such a beautiful, heartfelt write...I read your sweet comments on my haiku. I think you would make a great dolphin...intelligent, gentle, free with an ocean to explore...sounds perfect. Big hug, Rhonda

This is a sad one, Tim. I do love that patsy Cline song that you referenced. Willie Nelson has such great ones too. Your poem is moving, like their songs. soupmail.
